Recap of September

It has been a month since I have posted.  September has been a busy month for us.  We have just about adjusted to our new routine with both girls in school and activities.

Speaking of our routine ... Annabel is going to preschool three days a week and loves it there.  Her teachers tell us she especially loves playing outside and with baby dolls, which does not surprise us.  She and Madison go to gymnastics once a week, and they both love it.  Madison is doing really well in kindergarten.  We had our first parent teacher conference today, and her teacher says she is doing great in each of her subjects and making friends.  Her only criticism was how quietly Madison talks.  We are encouraging her to speak up, but are so proud that she is actually talking in class.  It took quite a few months in her preschool classes before she talked.  I am so amazed at how much progress she has made in her reading, writing and drawing skills in just a few weeks.  Madison also got to start AWANAs this year.  I grew up going to AWANAs and love the way it teaches children to hide God's Word in their hearts.  It is going to be good for me too, as I memorize each of the verses alongside her.  Annabel is only two and can't wait to turn three so she can start going to Cubbies.  Madison also is enjoying choir at our church.  Jared and I have started teaching 5th and 6th grade Sunday school.  Working with this age group (and actually being at church on time) is a new experience for us.  We love the kids and are excited to see how we grow with them.

Last month, Jared got to go on a fishing trip in Corpus, and they had great luck.

This day was circus day at gymnastics, so Annabel got her face painted.

Last Saturday morning was raining, so the girls pulled pillows and blankets out in the living room and were snuggled up watching movies.  I love sweet sister moments.
